harray loch july 2010 ARTiFLY was established by Gerry MacDonald in March 2000 from what was originally a hobby, since then the company has grown from strength to strength with demand for his products greatly exceeding his expectations, many of which are despatched to all parts of the world.

Gerry who was born in Inverness and has lived there ever since is fast gaining the reputation of being one of the finest tyers of a traditional wet fly of recent times, with his passion towards the sport of Fly Fishing and Fly Tying often being described as fanatical. His Trout Flies are off the highest quality and accuracy to detail, unrivalled by many tyers from the UK, Ireland and further afield. Due to demand Gerry now offers a full range of Salmon flies including a range of the deadly Pot Bellied Pigs, all tied to the original dressings. All the flies ARTiFLY supplies are, and always will be, tied personally by Gerry himself. And with so many inferior imports being wildly available today it is not hard to see why Gerry's flies are in such high demand. He has also written articles for magazines such as Fly Fishing & Fly Tying and Trout Fisherman and is regularly doing demonstrations throughout Scotland and further afield.

While the main core of the business still evolves around the supplying of high quality Trout & Salmon Flies, Over the last few years Gerry has also produced a range of quality Fly Tying Materials that come under the "Electric Range" and are now stocked by many of the top tackle shops throughout the UK, Europe and further afield. Other angling related products are also available all of which are developed and produced exclusively by ARTiFLY.
