MERKISTER MAID

HISTORY

I came up with it as I basically struggled to catch on the original Norski. It just evolved over a season, adding the sparkly bits certainly helped, and the final dressing is as you see it. Works best when the trout are on Caenis nymphs at depth or Daphnia. At the Intercounty this year, which we won convincingly, most of the Orkney team fished 2 MM’s, one on the bob one on the tail of a 4 fly cast.
